Etno Kuća "Jelena"
About This Museum
Tucked away on a quiet road just outside Bezdan, this charming ethno house feels like stepping straight into your great-grandmother's home. We spent over an hour just wandering through the rooms, each one filled with such care and detail you'd think the family still lived here. The sheer amount of traditional Vojvodina household items is incredible, from the massive wood-burning stove to the intricate folk costumes laid out on the beds. It’s not a stuffy museum at all, but a warm, living snapshot of a way of life that's almost vanished.
Collection Highlights
The fully equipped kitchen with all its copper pots, the beautiful looms for weaving, and the stunning collection of embroidered national dresses that look like they're waiting for a festival.
Visitor Information
It's located at Somborski Put 49 in Bezdan—definitely use GPS to find it. Since it's a smaller, family-run place, it's wise to check their Facebook page or call ahead to confirm they're open before you make the trip.
Architecture & Building
It's a beautifully preserved traditional Serbian house from this region, painted a crisp white with a classic steeply pitched roof, looking every bit the part of a rustic countryside home.
