Coralarium at Sirru Fen Fushi Private Lagoon Resort
About This Museum
Believe it or not, there's a semi-submerged art gallery right in the middle of the turquoise lagoon. You wade through shallow, warm water to reach this incredible cube-shaped structure, which seems to float between two worlds. Inside and out, it's covered with sculptures that look like hybrid trees and corals, all designed to encourage real marine life to move in. It’s less a static museum and more a living, breathing part of the ocean that’s constantly changing.
Collection Highlights
The main attractions are the coral-inspired sculptures by Jason deCaires Taylor that act as artificial reefs; you'll see parrotfish nibbling on art and baby corals claiming new homes on the statues.
Visitor Information
Since it's part of a private resort, access is pretty exclusive for guests, but you can just wander over from your villa anytime—no shoes required!
Architecture & Building
It's a stark white, geometric cube that sits partially submerged, creating a powerful contrast against the endless blue of the sky and sea.
