Now, the Chateau de Savigny-lès-Beaune is a place of wonderful contradictions. For decades, it's been the private passion project of the surrounding vineyards' owner, who filled the park with his astonishing collections. You can wander from a 14th-century wine cellar straight into a hangar full of historic aircraft—it’s a truly unique blend of the rustic and the mechanical.
Collection Highlights
The sheer scale is breathtaking; over a hundred motorcycles line one barn, while another shelters dozens of fire engines. Look up and you'll see MiG fighter planes and a massive Boeing B-17 bomber parked as if they've just landed in the French countryside. And of course, you're never far from the viticultural heart of it all—the deep, cool cellars where the estate's own wines quietly age.
