Would you believe this pristine white house in Oregon was actually built back in New York? The entire structure was shipped all the way around Cape Horn by sea before being assembled here in 1885. Stepping inside feels like walking into a beautifully preserved Victorian home, complete with ornate wallpaper and period furnishings. It’s not just a house, though; the complex includes a rustic carriage house and a charming pioneer log cabin, each telling a different part of the local story. The main attraction is the Caples family's original belongings, from their formal parlor furniture to everyday kitchen tools. Don't miss the neighboring 1856 Cline House, one of the oldest surviving log structures in the region, filled with pioneer artifacts.
