Perched on a hill overlooking the serene Danube, where Croatia, Hungary, and Serbia meet, the Batina Memorial House stands as a stark, magnificent sentinel. It commemorates one of the fiercest battles of WWII in this region, the Battle of Batina. Walking through its spaces, you're immediately struck by the sheer scale of the central memorial hall, where light falls on names of the fallen. Collection Highlights
The heart of the experience is the monumental sculptural group depicting soldiers in the heat of battle, which is absolutely breathtaking in its detail and raw emotion. Beyond the sculptures, you'll find personal artifacts recovered from the battlefield, from simple mess kits to rifles, each telling a silent, powerful story.
