It’s not just a random assortment of artifacts; everything is thoughtfully laid out to show you the life and culture of ancient Messinia. You'll find everything from intricate gold jewelry and terrifyingly realistic terracotta masks to massive, weathered stone inscriptions. Wandering through the airy, modern halls makes you feel like you're piecing together a giant historical puzzle.
Collection Highlights
The stunning finds from the Palace of Nestor are a must-see, especially the intricate Linear B tablets. Don't miss the incredibly detailed miniature ivory sculptures and the collection of armor and weapons that really bring the warrior culture to life.
